Here Be Dragons

A dragon curve is the shape produced by folding a long strip of paper many times and then opening it out so that each fold becomes a right angle.

We have three booklets about these shapes:

Here Be Dragons (Scaled Up)
Here Be Dragons (Scaled Down)
Here Be Dragons (Dragonometry)
Scaled Up
Instructions for making this large crochet wall-hanging, which shows a large number of dragon curves of different sizes fitted together.
Scaled Down
Instructions for making various smaller crochet items, such as rugs and scarves, which illustrate dragon curves. The creations can be seen here.
Dragonometry
This booklet does not concern needlework at all. It explains the mathematics of dragon curves and shows some of their interesting properties, such as the relationships between curves of different sizes and the ways in which they can be fitted together to cover a surface.

These booklets can be purchased separately or as a set. To order any of them, please click here.
