International Back to Back Wool Challenge
&
Guinness World Record Attempt
The International Back to Back Challenge and the Guinness World Record attempt are two different things although they follow many of the same rules. The Back to Back Challenge takes place every year and there is a winner in each year. Teams who think they are likely to break the World Record need to have extra evidence which can be scrutinised by Guinness in the event of a claim.
In the case of the Groenewoud team, this means there are two expert witnesses (one for knitting and and one for spinning) and the event is recorded on an unbroken video with the elapsed time always in view.
