WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS
Despite what your eyes may tell you, there are no curves here.
Wheels Within Wheels is a tessellation of pentagons with all sides equal. There are very few 5-sided shapes that can be fitted together to cover the surface without leaving gaps. Wheels Within Wheels uses one such shape.

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION
The pieces are knitted individually and stitched together.
In a few place, it is possible to combine pieces as you go but there is still a lot of sewing to be done.
KNITTING INFORMATION
There are many possible variations of this design using different numbers of colours.
Whichever design you choose, any type of yarn and needles can be used.
It is easy to adjust the size of the pieces to change the size of the afghan.
Some of the possible variations.
