Maybe this should be called Evolution as it has evolved from Curve of Pursuit.
It is our first afghan design that is not based entirely on sound geometric principles. It relies on the pliant nature of the knitting to allow some distortion which creates the zig-zag swirl.
It is worked in one piece, using one colour at a time and with a maximum of around one hundred stitches on the needles.
There is a tiny amount of stitching to be done.
KNITTING INFORMATION
The photo shows an afghan in eight colours. It works equally well in two or four colours.
The size will vary according to the yarns you choose. Extra rings can be added to make any size you want. I used one ball of yarn in each colour and knitted until the yarn ran out.
The pattern includes variations with a range of swirls and zig-zags.
