These two jackets are basically the same. In the version on the left the shapes have all been made individually. In the other version some of the shapes have been combined to give a completely different effect.


The green version is shorter than the pink. Its sleeves are more tapered. It was finished off with stripes at the bottom to use the last remaining bits of yarn.

To plan a design like this you need to forget the usual conventions of back, front and two sleeves, and concentrate on working from the centre outwards.
