The success of Squares That Look Round prompted us to re-
The original plan for Double Vision was to combine Double Knitting and 4 ply yarns so that the balance of colour was, for example, different in a square with green DK and blue 4 ply to that in a square with blue DK and green 4 ply. This proved impossible at the time because we couldn’t get the necessary yarns, Many versions of Double Vision have been made since but none, as far as I am aware, have taken up our idea even though it would now be possible to buy the yarns.
Illusion knitting gave us a method of making squares that really were all different. It is a 9 x 9 square so shows 81 shades. The colour palette is much more limited than for Double Vision so most of the squares are shades of pink and purple.
