FLATLAND LOCK
A visualisation puzzle on an afghan.
It is based on the Flatland Lock in Leonardo’s Mirror and Other Puzzles by Ivan Moscovich.
The four linkages can only be moved by sliding up, down, left and right. The grey squares at the corners represent fixed posts. The dark squares are the background.
Which piece would you move first? How many moves would it take to free them all?

KNITTING/CROCHET INFORMATION
I never quite got round to finishing this. It was intended to have a dark border all round.
The pattern is less detailed than our other patterns but contains enough information to make a knit or crochet afghan in any yarn, at any size.
