I don't know what this is but we overtook it. Incidentally, two of the deck crew, who drive the ship, put on a talk about it in the lecture theatre this afternoon. One of them reckoned that although she can't match the speed of the original Queen Mary, QM2 is powerful enough to overtake a normal cruise ship in reverse. He also mentioned that there is a viewing gallery from which you can watch activity on the bridge at certain times of day. It would have been more helpful if somebody had mentioned that before that room closed for the last time on this crossing.

He also said that the storms the other day were force 11. I have a feeling there may be more than one scale for measuring storms.
